Daniel Klier

Group General Manager, Global Head of Sustainable Finance, HSBC & Chair IIF Sustainable Finance Working Group

Daniel joined HSBC in August 2013 as Group Head of Strategy in London. Prior to joining HSBC, Daniel was a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He holds a PhD from his studies at Columbia University and the University of Dortmund after studying Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and the London School of Economics.

Daniel is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. He chairs the Sustainable Finance Working Group at the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and the Climate Risk Working Group at the Bank of England. He is a member of the UK Government Green Finance Task Force, the European Business Leaders’ Council, and the Board of Sustainable Energy for All.
